Weighted blankets are a great way to continue that deeply relaxed, Hypnotised feeling at home. I use with them with clients in every Hypnotherapy session now. They lower stress and anxiety, and improve the quality of your sleep. Until now they were only available online, so you had to invest in a blanket (sometimes up to $400!) without knowing what style or weight would actually feel good to you. Now you can try one out in Launceston in Hypnotherapy session, or just by making a short appointment with me to try a few for yourself.
I now stock two different brands, in different colours in sizes, to cater for all ages, sizes and tastes.
These blankets sell quickly, but I have limited numbers in stock now.
- They are 100% cotton so they are perfect for summer.
- Great for unwinding after work on the sofa or on your bed at night.
- Created to help with anxiety, insomnia, ADHD and Autism, but they're great for general relaxation as well.
- Designed to be used all year round, the inner blanket is created with breathable cotton for the warmer months.
- Micro ultra plush cover included for the cooler months.
- Super quiet design with certified non-toxic glass beads.
- Blankets are double lined and stitched.
- Machine washable
I've noticed in my Launceston clinic that my clients go deeper into Hypnosis when using one. Blankets come in 3kg, 5kg, 7kg, 9kg and 10kg weight. Occupational therapists suggest choosing the
blanket that is the closest to 10% of your body weight, however I recommend trying a few different weights for yourself before deciding.
They come with a free Hypnotic Sleep Recording, and a choice of coloured minky covers (colours sell out quickly!)
If you'd like to buy one or try one, just contact me via email or phone - details at the bottom of this page.
I also now stock blue-light blocking glasses, for my many clients who use their phones/tablets/tvs just before bed, and wonder why their sleep isn't very refreshing. Blue light (which all screens
emit) exists in nature only in morning sunlight, when it's time for us to be awake and alert.
Looking at screens has been shown to suppress Melatonin (your sleep hormone) which can make it harder to fall asleep or stay asleep at night. The blue light is basically telling your
brain that it's morning, which is deterimental to your sleep. Using the blue light blocking glasses can reduce eyestrain and improve your sleep.
